Job 2
On another day the angels came to present themselves before the
Lord,
and Satan also came with them to present himself before him.
And the Lord said to Satan, "Where have you come from?"
Satan answered the Lord, "From roaming through the earth and
going to and fro in it."
Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant
Job?
There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright,
a man who fears God
and shuns evil.”
Toe die hemelwesens weer op 'n dag voor die
Here kom staan, het die Satan ook tussen hulle voor die Here kom
staan. Toe vra die Here vir hom: "Waar kom jy
vandaan?" En die Satan antwoord die Here: "Ek het die węreld
deurkruis.”
Die Here vra toe vir Satan: "En my dienaar Job, het jy hom
gesien?
Sy gelyke kry jy nie op aarde nie: hy is vroom en opreg, hy dien
My en vermy die kwaad."
